Suited Assessment, What you ought to know

I recently took the Suited assessment and, to my surprise, passed. Since there arent any recent posts and its a popular prescreen for some shops (Centerview, PJT Partners, HL, Baird), here's what you should know to prepare.

The assessment has three timed sections, and a fit section that asks you about statements that best describe you

1. Pattern recognition — You're given a numerical/alphabetical series with a list of possible matches and have to determine the correct option. These are pretty inconsistent so you have to really pay attention

2. Logic (quantifiers) — You're given premises using words like "all," "no," "some," and "if...then," then asked to mark a list of derived statements as True, False, or Uncertain based on formal logic (not intuition). 
Example: "All employees of Department 4 are employees of Company B." From this, "Some employees of Department 4 are not employees of Company B" is False — it directly contradicts the premise — while "No employees of Company B are employees in Department 4" is only Uncertain, since the premise doesn't rule out overlap.

3. Math/sequence completion — Similar to pattern recognition but framed as filling in a missing number in a straightforward numeric progression, often under time pressure. 
Example: 2, 4, 8, __, 32, 64, 128, 256  
(each term doubles, so the answer is 16)

The biggest thing that helped me: don't assume every series is a single simple rule. A lot of them are two sequences interleaved, or a repeating cycle of differences, so if the obvious pattern doesn't fit cleanly, check every other term separately before moving on.
