My roommate and I recently signed SA offers with Morgan Stanley and Greenhill for the upcoming summer, however, neither offer letter mentioned a drug test. Does anyone know if either firm tests, and if so, when?

Most of these tests stipulate the test has to be taken no earlier than 30 days before start but no closer than 10 days to start date. Unless its a hair test for the government or Budweiser or something. Honestly I wouldn't expect Greenhill to being a smaller firm, MS might (I can say with certainty some of the other bigger BBs don't)
Don't be an idiot. Getting high versus potentially getting your offer reneged for the summer? Risk/reward my man.
Not having fun during spring break because you have a drug test months down the road is being an idiot? That's not risk/reward, that's just being unnecessarily cautious.
If he hasn't had his spring break yet, I'd assume it's in the next 1-2 weeks or going on now. I know firms drug test starting May 1st (of course this is variable) and if NOT smoking weed is going to ruin his spring break he needs to drink more alcohol.

If i remember correctly, my friend who worked in Hong Kong for MS didn't have to be tested last year. Don't know about the US though.
