What could be the possible reason for such an early recruitment? Is the pool of candidates PE funds can choose from shrinking and all the MFs want to secure the best ones?
Can we get some more confirmations on firms interviewing? Can confirm that Catterton interviewed and gave out offers. I can confirm that other firms in GoBuyside update (HGGC for one) have not started interviewing. They had their event last night. Let's keep this active.
Am I late to the game if I haven't spoken to one head hunter yet. Was planning on reaching out tonight...what are everybody's thoughts?
Very late. Most people talk to head hunters in the late fall. Not too late that it's hopeless, but definitely an uphill battle at this point.

I would not worry too much if you're not getting a lot of traction with interviews so far. This is the first wave that are megafunds/upper mid-market. There will be another wave next week and the week after where firms are interviewing everyday. Then it slows down a bit, but it will still last throughout the entire year.
