Summer 2022 IB internships out of a B1G school?
I’m starting to network and prep for summer 2022 SA positions, I’m a sophomore at a B1G school, but I’m in my school’s program for students breaking into IB. I would like to end up at a top office in a BB, but It seems like most people in my position that end up at a BB in the city are on diversity programs or have some really deep connections (neither apply to me). I would be happy with pretty much any offer I (Hopefully) receive later in 2022, but is it worth my time even trying to network for SA positions at top banks/offices? I’m thinking about doubling down on MM banks to give myself the best shot at earning an offer.
Most 2021 SA positions have been filled already. I’m surprised your IB club didn’t keep you in the loop on that. I would just focus on finding an internship at this point, you likely won’t be able to get a “top BB” offer unless more positions open up after the new year.
