I am looking for information on the junior SA Timeline, I searched and last thread was from '06. My question is how does it get rolling? I imagine banks do FT first and then SA. Are there any times that things have to be done by? I'm asking because at BarCap I already have an internal referral but at JPM, RBC and GS my contacts said they weren't starting up for a while. Some MMs said they weren't looking until December/January.

This has been discussed on many threads. No harm in talking to your contacts now, but SA recruiting is usually done Jan-March.
Thanks, I thought that, but the BarCap thing threw me off.
one thing I am not sure of is that if the recruiter already told they won't begin to look at the SA applications until Dec, is it too early to reach out to my contacts now? Just to make sure the recruiter won't be too busy dealing with FT application and hence miss out my referral...
