Summer Associate Hiring Freeze Advice

Hi All,

I'm an MBA student at a T14, Ive been recruiting for a Summer Associate role with a MM bank for a while now, it wasn't the most prestigious bank I talked with but was a great fit culture wise, they had a strong industry group in my pre-MBA industry, and the location was a perfect fit so I prioritized this bank. Last week I was invited a super day and at the start of I was notified that the bank just instituted a hiring freeze and that they wont be hiring any Summers.

Obviously we are pretty late in the recruiting cycle but I was curious if anyone who has experienced something similar has any advice on bouncing back from this?
