Summer Associate Recruitment vs Summer Analyst Recruitment

From what I understand, both summer associates and summer analyst prospects go through the same process of campus presentations --> coffee chats --> invite events --> more coffee chats --> interview --> offer. I'm surprised that the process is so similar given that one role is for undergrads while the other role is for MBAs

For context, I'm just a prospect who is planning to get a MBA to switch careers from engineering to IB. I'm now looking at all these career resources and I can't tell if I am supposed to do anything different compared to someone who's just graduating from undergrad.

How else are they supposed to do it then? Lmao its literally just narrowing down good candidates to interview and then give out offers

If this is roughly a top 20 MBA, it is very structured at the beginning. Banks will come to you for presentations and set up formal events and from there it is on you to gain traction at the banks you are pursuing.
