Summer Internship recruiting

So I applied to 14 internships for this coming summer at BB and some boutiques primarily in London and New York. I have passed all the numerical tests, but have not heard back from anyone yet for first round interviews.

My application has not been denied either. Is it rare to wait so long for first round interviews? (I go to a target in london and have prior work experience)

Also, I was wondering if anyone has any tips to help prepare for assessment day case studies.

A lot of BBs have started recruiting already for SA positions in London. I know people who have interviewed and accepted offers ranging from UBS, DB, JPM and Barcap among others. But things will really get into full swing from next week I guess when people return from vacations and universities open again.

Given that you go to a target and have prior work exp, unless you messed up something in your application forms (hopefully not) you should be hearing back soon.

its not unheard of this late. I remember during my summer recruiting I had my GS first round in February.

On the other hand UBS is known for doing recruiting for summer in October so it varies widely by bank.

If you don't hear anything by Feb I would get worried.

Also, your chances for a NYC internships are so slim I would label them as 0% (unless you are a US citizen and/or have very strong networks)

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.
