Summer Internships - Any firms other than BBs?
Does anyone know of firms in New York or Chicago offering summer analyst internships other than the BBs?
I know RBC is, Lazard is, any others?
Thanks.

Career Resources
Pretty much every known bank will offer summer internships... I can't even begin to list which ones don't. There's a list of regional banks stickied in this forum... Take some time, do some research on the firms in NYC and Chicago, see if you have an alumni there, and reach out to the banks... Many of them will have career/job sections that will include application information for summers.
pretty much all the mms, top hedge funds, and top trading firms
What about the firms that don't list the summer positions on their websites? Should I contact HR/alumni for those to see if any are available? I know sometimes positions aren't advertised.
If you have alumni at ANY investment bank that you may be interested in, I would definitely advise trying to reach out to them before applying online, especially for the MM firms. Networking is huge, and it can definitely be the difference between securing or not securing a summer stint. If you do not have alumni at the bank, you can reach out to HR, but the success rate is going to be far lower.
EDIT: When contacting HR, it's fine to blatantly ask if there are any summer positions available. However, when emailing alumni, you're going to want to be a bit more subtle -- send an introduction email, ask if they would be willing to speak with you, etc. If and when you speak to them, end asking if there are any available opportunities for the summer and how you should go about giving yourself the best chance to be successful in attaining the opportunity.
I found an alumni of my school at Capstone Investments however, he is the only person whose email address isn't listed, only his phone number. Would you say it is inappropriate to call him? And if so, what should I say other than asking for summer opportunities?
