Suncorp Bank acquisition advisors?
Does anyone know who is advising on the Suncorp bank acquisition by ANZ? It's supposedly an AUD 5 billion deal so by no means a small deal.

It was on the AFR today.. Barrenjoey were the financial advisers.
"Surprisingly, there was little talk about the tie-up in the wider market. Street Talk revealed Suncorp had called in Barrenjoey’s bankers to assess options in June, which the bancassurer confirmed, but the talks flew under the radar until late last week."

Barrenjoey are taking over M&A from CS. I had heard one of the big 4 banks was looking at a joint venture focusing on M&A but this is probably scuppered. Some of the consultants were also making a push to M&A advisory (I heard Kearney and Accenture) but there must not be much space left in the market.
