Super Day Miscommunication?
going through BB recruiting,
my second round was a phone interview and i thought it went great. At the end, the associate told me (He said these comments without me asking for any feedbacks) that i have the right personality and have what they are looking for, he would push me to next final round. He finished by saying he will write those to the HR.
Now let's assume I don't get the superday invitation. Looks like I wouldn't.
Can I email the associate ? What should I do in this situation?
Thanks
You can try, but doubt it will work. Maybe if someone declines the superday they will reach out to you.
This shit happens all the time. Just because one guy likes you and pushes for you doesn't mean you will get the superday / offer. I had a director vouching for me and I ended up not getting the offer at one firm.
Chances are they are also vouching for other people too. Also, associates don't get as much say as MDs.
oh no. what i meant was my sole interviewer was an Associate. My first round was actually a phone interview with a director, and 2nd round was phone interview with an associate.
Are you certain you did not get the superday? If you are certain you did not get the superday there's little you can do. You can try to sending him an email asking him for an update on the situation, but I don't know how much that would help.
Sometimes there's just a very long delay. I once had to wait over a month from my interview (which I thought I failed) and surprisingly got a superday offer extended.
Not certain, but i know people have gotten superday offers for other groups(not the one I interviewed for), and I know historically this BB has scheduled their superdays close together. That's basically what I am hoping for. that it's just a long delay.
