Superday-Question
Hey,
I just had a superday with 7 interviews. I really think 6 of them went very well, and I answered all the technicals correctly and more importantly it seemed like the guys liked me. Unfortunately, towards the end of it I had a rough time with 1 of the interviews. I've been very stressed out about it and was curious will this knock me out? Or if all the others rated me highly, would they kind of cut me some slack for the one bad one? Thanks.
Hey, It's all relative. 6/7 is good. Depending on how many they're hiring, you are still in the running. When they roundtable it if six vouch and one doesn't ... you're in good shape. Just wait it out -- can't go back an analyze as it will not help.
.
It really does depend on how many they're looking for and how strongly the other 6 felt - things you won't, as an interviewer, know - you can guess, but why waste your time guessing when the final result will be in before you know it. I always say that you need to keep your head in the game for every interview and you need to treat every interview as if it were the only one - I know it's hard, but that's why banks have superdays. I know a number of people that didn't think they wowed 7 out of 7 and still got the offer. I know others that thought they nailed 5 or 6 and missed just 1 - they didn't get the interview. It really just depends on how other students did, how much the 6 and even the 7th liked you (even though you didn't nail the 7th as much as you'd like), and how many they're looking for. Remember, just because you didn't think it went well, doesn't mean it didn't - but then again, just because you think it went well, it also doesn't mean that it did. Good luck to both of you.
