SVB Leerink Tech vs. Healthcare - Which Group is Better in Terms of Culture/Pay/Prestige/Exit Opps

I am a current sophomore at a top 20 university (ND/NYU/Gtown/Duke/BC/Vandy) and I have heard a lot on the forum recently about SVB Leerink, although most of the talk about SVBL has been about their new tech team. I am equally interested in both HC and Tech IB and I was curious to hear about which group is better in terms of culture/pay/prestige/exit opps as I head into recruiting season.

I am also curious to know what the difference is between the three offices (Boston/SF/NYC) for both HC and Tech?

tech is new but seems good(?), they're historically a top HC boutique, pay was spoken about earlier on this forum when base raises happened, exit opportunities are dependent on your hard work but leerink is looked at well

im also literally just a student like most others are but my networking calls w people have highlighted the above^

Leerink is strong af in SMID-cap healthcare, especially within Biotech/Therapeutics/Spec Pharma. Prior to being acquired by SVB, healthcare is all Leerink did. Their tech group is very new and was made possible after they were acquired by SVB with a large poaching of UBS TMT bankers. So their TMT business is still very green given this was done in March of 2021.
