SWE Intern -> Investment Banking. Possible?

You typically hear the reverse on this forum.

I'm a rising junior at an Ivy target. I will most likely be getting a SWE internship for my final summer, but I'm starting to have second thoughts about a career in tech. I think finance and investing is more up my alley and I'm hoping to get a EB/BB/MM FT offer for when I graduate.

Some more background:

- comp sci major. 3.7 GPA, hopefully it stays here but not sure with comp sci major difficulty

- search fund internship for freshman summer, and hybrid business/IT internship at a F500 this summer

- member of selective IB club at university

I have some finance related stuff because I initially wanted IB, but then switched to tech. But it looks like finance may be the right fit for me after all...

I think I've missed my chance for junior summer. I've done 0 networking and I'm not at all prepared for technicals. So... do I have a shot for FT recruiting? What can I do to set myself up?

Sure, I'm just really unprepared for technicals. Not sure if I'll be able to catch up.
