Background: work in corporate finance doing bus dev / acquisition related work for a non-energy / cap ex heavy company, have i-bank internship experience, and some oil & gas knowledge from school and some work
I'm looking to get back in the energy industry but have been working for a non-energy company.
Question: suggestions other than pure networking? i feel like i need to do some type of activity, participate in a relevant industry class or seminar, or earn some sort of credential. been looking into petroleum engineering, but that's a big undertaking just to switch industries. anybody have suggestions in order to gain some credibility / experience that i can talk to when applying for positions within the energy industry?
