Sydney IB Cultures/Hours

Hi,

I'm interested in whether anyone could contribute their knowledge of the cultures and hours at the different BBs in Sydney, Australia. Most of the content on this forum relates to the US, so I was hoping to find out a bit more about my peers' lives in Sydney. I'm particularly interested in the analyst level. Anecdotally I've been hearing that the boutiques like Greenhill and Lazard have the worst hours, while some bigger banks such as Mac and GS have analysts home before midnight regularly. What about some BBs other than GS such as BAML, MS and JPM? Could anyone quantify average hours? Any insight would be much appreciated.

The reason I'm asking is that at my own workplace, lifestyle policies aren't really enforced and hours pile up (as you'd expect), but I'm hoping to gather some anonymously contributed information about culture and hours at other firms to put things into perspective.

I'm not expecting any banks to have 1st year analysts working 60 hours per week - there's no illusions that monster hours are an expectation in this job. I'm merely looking to see how the big players compare.

Thanks!
