Talking to an MD at BB

I managed to convert a cold email to a managing director at a Bulge Bracket Bank in NYC into a phone call. I was wondering what are the different things I should keep in mind and what can I do to impress him. any tips from the Pros would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the networking is successful because he sees something in common or interesting about your background? Check his LinkedIn or news about the firm and especially his group, if you have not done so. Find common ground to build rapport.
