TAS Interns
I've read the I-Banking vs. Big 4 TS thread and know the difference between them, but for all the Monkeys who have done a TAS/TS internship, what did you actually do? Were you able to pick up any relevant experience? Any insight would be great. Thanks.

Yes, you learn a ton of things which are applicable. I am talking about a TAS intern position and IB recruiting in Germany, so take it with a grain of salt.
@LeeteasY: was it actually "TAS" or was it the CorpFin or M&A Division of one of the Big4?
depends the team within TAS.
I have accepted an internship for the upcoming summer with Big4 TAS doing Financial Due Diligence.
@PlusMinus: It was Transaction Advisory Services, based within CorpFin. CorpFin consists of M&A, TAS and Forensic Investigation Services within this Big4 in Germany.
In the US, CF and TS/TAS are separated.
I received an offer for an internship in TAS at one of the Big4 in Continental Europe. I guess the work would mostly consist of Financial DD. Would you say that this internship would give me a chance to get an internship with some decent IB's + BB's or is it just not worth it?
I have a final round interview lined up this week with a small M&A Boutique (no Elite Boutique or something comparable with a high reputation. The Boutique mainly does small MidCap deals..). In case that I get an offer, should I take the Boutique offer over the TAS offer?
Assuming that I don't get an offer of the Boutique, would you choose the TAS internship?
Boutique IB > TAS internship - but if you don't have any other offers: go for the TAS internship if you don't land an offer with the boutique.
Thanks for your advice Leeteasy. You said you were in TAS. Which group of TAS were you located in? Restructuring, Transaction Support, Valuation and Business Modelling, ... ?
@all: Any other thoughts on my question?
