Taxes for incoming 2022 Analyst

I’m currently an incoming FT IB analyst at a MM shop in a coverage group and am a little bit confused about taxes.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a good tax calculator to use? I’ll be working in California!

Also if I’m getting taxes taken out every paycheck (state and fed) do I also need to budget part of that post-tax paycheck to pay additional taxes on it in April 2023??

I really just want to avoid spending too much / being way too conservative with my salary.
