Tell HR or wait till Background?

Hey everyone, I’ll keep this short. I was too focused on applying for summer internships and ended up failing two of the four classes I had that semester. The other two grades weren’t great, and my first-year grades were pretty average. I did get a BB summer offer, and I know they’ll check the grades from someone who already received the offer. I just wanted to know what you all would do. They say if I don’t think I’ll meet the grade requirements, I should contact HR, but then they might rescind my offer. So, should I tell HR and see if they rescind my offer, or do I risk it and hope it doesn’t show up on my background check.

As long as you were honest about your GPA at the time you applied, and are still on track to graduate in 4 years, I think you’ll be fine. I personally wouldn’t say anything

0 benefit in mentioning it right now. Just do what they ask and if they raise an issue give an explanation. You won’t get your summer rescinded because of your grades unless you outright lied on your resume
