I've seen Telos winning some significant mandates recently - sold Chartable to Spotify last year. Founded by BB/EB alumni, seems like an up-and-coming major player in Tech/Media.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how they are currently stacking up against the notable banks in the space (LionTree/Tidal/CVP) ?

They are essentially the tech/media team from another LA boutique Montgomery and Co which closed shop in 2013
They run really lean and I was told by a VP who was with them for a year that it was a toxic environment
Honestly my opinion might be biased - only had a chat with one of the current junior bankers and it left a sour taste in my mouth, but hearing from the past VP’s experience it supported my impressions towards them

srry, a year late, but they recently posted an opening at my school's handshake - $75-85K/year definitely NOT on par with EB salary, especially given the location in Santa Monica, CA.
yeah I’ve seen the same. do you have any other info about the firm or interview process or just relaying what you’ve seen on handshake?
it's on my college's handshake and have a friend who was in the process with them and he echoed the sour taste comments stated above. probs not a bad place to start if you have no other options, but would use as a lateral stepping stone.
$75-85K/yr is definitely NOT enough to live comfortably in Santa Monica IMO.
