Terrible GPA - Spring Internship

I am currently in a dilemma and would like advice from WSO. I am a second year college student at my university and am near completing a commercial real estate internship. I would like to find another internship for spring quarter that heavily relates to finance, such as private wealth management. However, my GPA is not great and would be much better after this quarter, as I am retaking a course with a C-.

Through the school's career center, there are a few internships that have deadlines in mid-March. However, the winter quarter grades won't be official until late March.

Any advice on what I should do? Just apply regardless of my GPA or start cold emailing after winter quarter? My goal is prepare myself for an investment banking internship this summer at a small boutique.

Thank you.

Don't put your GPA on your resume, even if the listing says so. Most firms will throw your resume out, but you'll get some hits. I have a friend with a sub 2.9 who got Summer Analyst interviews this way with BNP, BMO, Wells Fargo, among others. For off cycle, it may be even less of an issue.
