Hi I really hope my question makes sense.

So about a month ago an associate (investment banking) wrote me a recommendation for a program. I sent him a thank you note. Then he also helped me get another offer at his own firm. Should I send him another thank you note? This was only in a matter of a month or two...

you mentioned he helped you get an offer at his firm, have you or are you going to accept it? If so, he just got you a job (be it summer internship or FT) and you can drop $100-150 for dinner and a few beers to say thanks. You will make the money back in a day and more than likely leave a great impression of your appreciation.
