The Downside of OCR
At many firms it is common practice for the campus recruitment team (which is made up of past alumni from said uni) to go through the resumes of prospects and note who they spoke with or had positive past experiences with. A candidate was in the running for the investment bank's SA program, but 3 people on the campus recruitment team had negative experiences with him. They were all first year analysts, so a senior when he was a freshman (at this uni many of the professional organizations focus on connecting upperclassmen with the youngsters). One of these stories was a serious ethical issue. Believe he was removed without an interview.
First time I have ever seen or heard of a resume pull... Thoughts? Have you seen this before?
Sucks for him
The main issue was pretty bad from what I know. I'm sure he will land on his feet though.
Maybe don’t be a dweeb around the people who will be working at the place you want to work.
Why did 3 different people have 3 different bad experiences with him?
If he was just an awkward freshman, then yeah, it's kind of a dick move, but otherwise I'd say it's justified.
