Yeah probably, I read an article that found people are naturally more friendly and helpful to people they find attractive without even thinking about it. It pays to be hot

Once you scroll past all the horny dudes who can't keep it in their pants on this site.  Here's the real response.  A lot of people will care significantly more about the 1) your answers in interviews, 2) how you do on a case study/studies, 3) how you perform in a super day. This is because if you are a good analyst and can get me out of the office/help support the deal team better, then that's what I really care about. (plus most self respecting people will not dip the pen in company ink)

Yes, there will be some people that give you the benefit of the doubt if they find you attractive, but it is a double edged sword and some people may think you are trying to skate by on looks, especially if you are unprepared.

It definitely helps to look good and I think anyone is lying if they said this hasn't influenced their initial opinion of a candidate. I would go so far as to say it helps even if you are being evaluated by someone of the same gender, being attractive just makes you more likable and that is a fact. With that being said it won't land you the job and you will still have to interview just as well as anyone else, maybe with a little more leeway but don't expect it. Only a total sleaze bag MD would hire a dumb candidate solely on looks.

Yes. Realistically speaking having good looking women in the office is productive because it's man's nature to want to be better and prove himself around women. If your only goal is to get into IB use your looks to your advantage. On the contrary, if you want to prove yourself something, get in touch with the most serious looking guys in LinkedIn to ask them for a meeting and see how you do.
