Interesting.
Those are the top MM shops as well. Not surprised tbh.
Maybe not relevant at the junior level, but heard awful things from friends at GS. Too much politics, you never know who is backstabbing you. That level of toxicity and rotten culture was beyond what’s normal at other shops.
I would expect that at top shops like GS / JPM. That level of competition usually leads to toxic behavior. Everyone backstabbing to get ahead....fuck that.

I am going to have to push back on Jefferies. Granted, the majority of my contacts are in TMT, but they have good things to say....a lot of A2A's staying on.
I'm old enough to remember the UBS HC team being contenders for this list.
Haven't heard anything about UBS tbh.
Toxic how exactly? I’ve actually heard some really good things from a friend that works at SocGen, pretty solid pay for great work-life balance compared to most Analysts
Same, I know a guy in their M&A group, says he's usually done by 8pm lol. Their bonuses are pretty terrible but WLB is great from what I've heard. Could be different in Europe though where they actually do well.
DB, Jefferies, Guggenheim, among others
Not sure how WB could be on this list. I always hear about how great their culture and high retention of juniors. From what I've heard, they barely hire MBAs, if any in most groups becuase retention and lateral interest is strong. Seem to be at / near the top of most major verticals for MM and pay pretty well.
It's not as great as it sounds. Especially chicago
