Thread Regarding U.S. Banks Pulling Offers from Canadian Recruits

EVR (U.S. Offices) has been confirmed to pull 2026 Summer and full-time offers from Canadian students (although they appear to trying to work something for FT)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is particularly because of pressure from gov and the additional second-order effect from TN visas being the only option at the moment for Canadian internationals (because ofthe  H1-B fee, thank you trump), not being applicable for applying for a green card. Making incentives to hire Canadians who can’t stay long term is essentially non-existent. I have heard speculation about other firms, butI  will not name them to prevent catastrophizing the situation, although it appears dire.
I will say that if you have any friends in Western Universities Investment Clubs, too, give them a call and tell them it'll be alright. And maybe contact suicide watch lol.
Yeah would argue EVR is like 20% of total workforce is canadian. GS with like 1000 Canadians out of 200k total workforce is like 0.5% so doubt they’ll stop (true for BBs in general)
Would you agree?
