Aren't they a (re)insurer of transaction risk? If so this has very little to do with IBD and is effectively a niche field within Legal. It helps insure funds against risks / fraud in DD documentation etc. (i.e. is the representation of the business as made accurate). We use Howden for this and I think these guys were acquired by Howden recently
They have like a small M&A and advisory team in london that specialise in insurance companies as far as I know. Have an interview with them and trying to find out as much as a can. Struggling though as it is so niche.
Do they advise externals or is this maybe their internal M&A team for add-ons? I haven’t seen them before to be honest but I’m not a FIG specialist
As far from talking to people and PitchBook looks like they do externals. Heard deal flows strong right now aswell due to the current market
Imagine them as an EB for insurance deals. They do the flagship capital raises in insurance (Lloyd’s, insurtech, etc). They are owned by Howden (large insurance broker) so they have access to great analytics. They are normally paired up with a BB/EB in large transactions.
