Took one day off with Influenza Type A - is that too much to ask?

Title says it all.

Is it considered weak? I was dying with high fever (39 celcius) and pretty damn bad body aches. Doctor said it’s influenza A and wrote 2 day sick leave but I’m getting back to work.. cz I felt bad taking half day off already. The first day of being sick, I just worked.

Chill its not that big of a deal make sure you actually rest and take care of yourself so you dont prolong your sickness which then could lead to more of an issue

In Anchorage we had a saying: Grit isn’t forged in moments of triumph — it’s tested in the quiet, arctic battles you fight when no one's watching and not even the polar bears are around. Every time you choose comfort over commitment, you teach your mind that giving up is acceptable. Skipping one day won’t destroy your dreams, but the mindset that lets you justify it — that whispers “it's fine” when you know it isn’t — will slowly erode your edge until you wake up one day wondering where your fire went. Greatness doesn’t slip away all at once; it fades, decision by decision, until all that’s left is what could have been. Rise to the moment, even when it’s small. That’s how you build the kind of strength that survives the storms ahead.
