Top MFin Before IB
Hi guys, I’ve noticed a huge tier difference between top MFins (princeton, mit, etc) and a lot of the rest but a lot of the top MFins still place in Investment Banks. If you did a Princeton MFin and decided you wanted to do IB instead of trading / quant / Corp finance, would you come in as an Analyst or an Associate similar to MBAs?
I don’t see why you would come in as an associate from Princeton. If you want IB MIT or Vandy.
But like the would the MFin at MIT be equivalent to the MBA in placing you as an associate? Seems like an easier way to skip miserable analyst years
No a Mfin is not a MBA.
Would you be placed as an Analyst after going to a top MFin program if you decided to go IB afterwards?
