I have been working in Big 4 for at least 3 years specify in restructuring.
I would like to switch to investment banking restructuring team in Hong Kong.
I noticed that it would be quick difficult due to investment banking rarely have a restructuring team in Hong Kong.
I would like to step into this field.
Is there any recommendation for me?

KPMG restructuring team has been disintegration.
The team leader has moved to another firm partner with another EY lady.
i'm definitely not an expert but just to give my $0.02:
Research IB restructuring teams in HK to see what your options are. Reach out to bankers at the firms you're interested in. Have your story down and make sure you have a good reason why you want to make this change. Goodluck!

prob the best time to make this sort of switch. this area is the one bright spot. i'd find the right people on linkedin and send them a message.
also, kpmg team is fine. is doing well from what i hear

I recently just saw Houlihan Lokey is currently hiring restructuring analyst in Hong Kong.
I wonder if any one of you would know if what they are aim for or if i could be suitable for this position.
Since i noticed that IB restructuring skill set is different to big 4.

Plenty of Chinese and Western banks are recruiting now. Reach out to some headhunters you should be fine. One thing is restructuring isn't necessarily related to IPOs, and you probably know that IPO is a big part of HK/China market.
Try to target M&A-type groups.

I aimed the m&a house for bothe western and Chinese banks but unfortunately no feed back. Even I tried cold call email but with no luck either.
I have seeked headhunters for help. However, they are keep asking me back on the restructuring role in accounting firms.
