transferring offices (sf/menlo park to ny) after SA

I'm a current junior originally from the Bay Area who will be doing her SA at a West Coast tech EB (moe/pwp/evr/ghl) in their tech group. I left the Bay Area for college and really do not want to live here for full time, but from a recruiting standpoint, it made the most sense to recruit for Bay Area banks.

My question is how likely is it that I'll be able to internally lateral groups after SA to NYC for each of the banks I listed above, assuming I'm well liked and doing well? I don't particularly care about the group I'm placed in - getting to NYC is my number one priority. How should I approach this/bring this up with HR/my group?
