Transitioning to Banking, What Would Be a Good Reason?

I personally believe we are in a low real interest rate environment for the long run, which should really benefit the private equity investment philosophy (in addition to fewer firms remaining publicly).

Having worked for 5 years in EQR at a non-BB bank (think William Blair, Cowen), I now want to transition over to banking. I am trying to think about what would be a good reason to tell when I am networking or interviewing.

I feel if I say what I really think then they will most likely reject me thinking I will just do 1 year in banking and then start recruiting. Any advice?
