Triple Merger... Possible?
I am up late studying technicals and had a weird thought... is it possible to do a tri-merger between three companies, one buyer and two sellers? I have no idea why this would be economically advantageous, but possibly there is some scenario where buying 2 companies at the same time would be of value. Has this ever happened in history?
Can't speak to any other sectors, but has happened in mining (my coverage group) before

That's pretty funky and cool
Cubist Pharma bought Trius and Optimer on the same day in 2013
This happens a lot with PE companies trying to buy an anchor / platform / main business and add-on acquisition at the same time or both companies may be good to acquire same time etc.
This is called a roll-up
If it was an acquisition pretty sure it would be separate transaction!
