Trouble Connecting With Associates in Interviews

I've been interviewing for SA roles over the past few months and have had 5 superdays, only 1 resulting in an offer. During every superday, I am always able to connect really well with analysts/VPs/MDs but everytime without fail when I speak to associates they are so uninterested in speaking to me that it feels impossible to make any connection that would result in them recommending me for a position. Has anyone else had a similar experience with interviews with associates? Is it just that they burnt out from all the hours? Any advice on improving my interview skills when speaking with associates would be greatly appreciated.
