I have a friend who interned there and is returning FT. He enjoyed it, a lot of pitching - generally they whale hunt a lot, however they do get deals done. Not a top shop, but good people overall. DM for more info

Dude if they whale hunt they don’t get deals done. Have never seen them on an M&A deal especially anything above $1bn

largely irrelevant but ok shop due to pay vs hours

Pay is pretty good despite them not closing many deals. Not sure how but it's the truth. Mostly work on financings, if anything. Don't know why you're getting hit w MS, especially as inaccurate lol. Truist is a below average shop

yeah some salty truist analysts ig - i'm considering them which is why I asked lmao. no benefit hiding from the truth imo

There’s a fine line between danger of going under from no deal flow and getting enough revenue to keep the lights on but not getting crushed by hours

Sounds like people are saying they are on some things here and there with financing and thus plug along. If you’re an analyst looking for exits I can see how that’s not ideal but if you’re looking to stick around that sounds pretty appealing at times so long as the people are solid
