Try to Leave my Bank?
For context, I work at a pretty decent MM bank in NYC (RJ, Piper, WB) and in one of the better groups, going into IB recruiting I was happy to just have the offer, but now that I just started full time I’m starting to think I may want to focus on going buy side. My group has decent exits, but I know I would def have better pull if I lateraled somewhere else. Is it worth trying to re-recruit?
Also, what does the lateral process even look like? Is it even worth trying considering on-cycle will probably be around December-January?
I do like my bank, so I would so stay but just weighing options
Congrats on UBS!
