Trying to improve my technical knowledge -help

Hi guys, does anyone know general databases so I can refine my technical knowledge on IB and PE? I learn quite a bit through YouTube, news and my university course. However, I always feel like it’s not enough. Any recommendations?

Investopedia, as mentioned above, really helps with their detailed explanations of almost every financial term/concept in the book. Seekingalpha helps me grasp what analysts are actually looking for and how they make a thorough analysis.

I used the BIWS (breaking into Wall Street) guides back when I prepped for my IB SA interviews. I think they still hold very well. There wasn’t a single question any bank asked me that wasn’t covered in the guides. Would highly recommend. That’s all I used for my technicals. Split into 6 sections: accounting, enterprise vs equity value, DCF, LBO, valuation and merger model. It even has a section for behaviorals, brain teasers and a tiny section for RX if you’re interested. Can’t recommend enough. Others feel free to chime in.

yea thats generally how it goes - the BIWS guides are designed to help u answer interview techs and basically cover everything u’ll see in an interview. some firms are starting to stray away from the BIWS guides so it’s worth asking upper years if they took note of past interview questions they ran into. these r for the “harder” questions that werent covered in the guide - but id say the guide covers 90% if not 100%
