UBC Sauder vs. NYU Economics CAS

I just got accepted to NYU CAS and was wondering whether it was worth attending over UBC Sauder.

Here are a few considerations:

1. Cost

NYU is 100k/yr and Sauder is 6k/yr.

I would not go into debt but paying that amount of money for a school that is not UPenn, UChicago, etc. makes me feel a bit sick

2. Finding Work

As a Canadian citizen, I am worried American firms will not hire me for work.

3. Flexibility

I am not sure if I actually want to go into IB or whatever else and I feel like UBC gives you quite a lot of flexibility in terms of that due to the fact that you can easily take a gap year anytime, which I am planning to do while I do some internships.

Also, at UBC, you can always transition to a new degree and take your time due to the low cost.

4. Medical Issues

I suffer from a few small medical issues which would be difficult to manage living in a dorm by myself although not impossible.
