don't take it. It is definitely dead end. My buddy works at UBS ops and he says they get treated like shit and advancement is almost non existent into front office.
In what way they're treated like shit? Do you have any details on what ere their main duties? Sure I have the official description from UBS, but 90% of the the time it's all bs if you compare it to the things you perform on a daily basis. Still hesitating about this position, other choices I have: reporting specialist and corporate actions analyst, don't appeal to me, since I had opportunity to work in similar departments.

these days, this might not be so true. its trendy to miss your mortgage payments. plus everyone not working is living off government transfer payments (anyone see that picture of Mrs.Obama working at soup kitchen and one of the people getting food took a picture of her... on his blackberry?)
