UBS "We found your profile interesting..." Does anyone know if this actually means anything?

I applied for a lateral position at UBS and after a week or so they sent an email saying they found my profile interesting and have shared it with the hiring manager. This was an automated message so I am just curious if this is a meaningful message at all or do they send this to anyone who meets basic requirements? Any idea how long the hiring manager should take to reach out? Thanks in advance!

Fair, thanks! I think I'm getting a little obsessive checking all my app statuses so I'll just chill until I get more solid communication

I’ve had this happen with 2 applications at UBS, maybe over a year ago at this point. From what I understand this basically means that your resume was somewhat relevant to the position so they put it in the resume book and send the whole book over to the hiring manager. Then that person decides if they want to email you or not. It’s better than a straight rejection from HR because at least it got passed on to the person doing the hiring. Unfortunately there’s no real timeline now. In my cases, I got an interview 2 weeks after I got this email and in the other I never heard from anyone until getting a standard rejection and email months after when I already figured I wasn’t a candidate.

That’s super helpful, thanks! I’ll taper my expectations. Gotta try to keep level headed during recruiting

If you're actually looking to make a move and got this message with no follow-up from an actual person, I'd definitely network and reach out to people at UBS to follow up and close the loop on this.
