I'm going to be attending a non-target university in the fall. I'm trying to decide between Financial Mathematics/Statistics and Econ/Accounting. My plan after undergrad is to work in IB for two years, get MBA and eventually work for a hedge fund. My main goal is to attend the best B-School possible, if that matters.
Can anyone offer some advice as to which major I should choose? Thanks

What about Financial Math/Accounting? That would be the best combination.
Thanks for the response. The two programs are actually "Financial Mathematics and Statistics" and "Economics and Accounting." Financial Math is not separable from Statistics or vice versa. The closest I could get to that would be an FM&S and Accounting double major.
Financial Math & Statistics would be best for a quantitative hedge fund role. Econ will serve you either way, and will be useful for macro hedge funds, whereas accounting will be most useful if you're interested in bottom-up fundamental analysis.
