Undergraduate + no Exp. Can I lateral from Tech to IB?
Howard University 20 yo AA Male 3.8 GPA Economics Major Few clubs at school
Interned for a small web startup in DC (freshman year) Launched and managed a startup for a year (sophomore year) Applied to Y Combinator & TechStars. Didn't get in. Got local funding.
Company ran through it's funding within 10 months. It as a good experience. Will be a Junior next fall. How difficult will it be to lateral to a IBD Internship this summer with no prior banking experience?
You can probably get into a boutique or low-end MM if you network correctly. Other than that... I remember someone said once that start-ups are bullshit.
