Undergraduate Senior Applying for SA position?

Do banks even consider recruiting summer analysts (both US and overseas positions) from the pool of undergrad seniors? If yes, are they equally evaluated, or banks prefer juniors for SA? Please advise.

Can You Get a Summer Internship After Graduation?

In general, graduating seniors will not be considered for summer analyst positions. Most banks have already recruited seniors for full-time positions. If you didn’t get a full-time post already, then they likely won’t want to hire you for the summer.

This post was originally written in 2009, however, and coming off the financial crisis and lack of internship opportunities in the prior year, some banks were allowing graduating seniors to recruit for summer internship positions.

It would make sense to recruit you if you're enrolling in a 1 year master's program right after you graduate, or if you have a good reason as to why you are staying as a 5th year.
