I participated in an unpaid internship abroad in SE asia last summer. The company was pretty shady and left on bad terms because of that. But, I put it on my resume b/c I'd look like a dick without a job during my junior summer.
I landed an FT offer and need to complete a background check. I honestly don't know if this will pass the employment background check. I have a feeling I won't be able to provide proof of that work experience because my boss will not vouch for me. I have proof of work product, bullet items on my resume, and a company email address.
Thoughts?
I'm freaking out.
Could you have anyone else verify you besides your boss who you were on better terms with?
At the firm no. It was just me and him and another woman. The rest of the team was elsewhere but my school administration can vouch for me. Don't know what difference that makes.
was this those online internships where you have to pay $7000 for an internship? I've heard shady things about those
