US IB to Canada buyside exits?

Canadian citizen here thinking about doing an MBA in the US. Assuming i go to a T15 school and work at a top NYC BB/EB upon graduation for 2-3 years, how hard will it be to exit to a MM/LMM PE shop or pension fund in Canada? Also, will it be easier to switch to the same/another bank's Toronto office if I decide to stay in IB?

Finally, how much will MBA brand recognition in Canada matter if I already have a BB/EB stint under my belt? Will there be a significant difference in exit opps if I go to, say, Cornell or Yale (which are much more well-known internationally) versus Darden or Tuck?
