U.S. Master’s for EU citizen with 3 years IB/VC/PE expr

Hi,

I am willing to move into states but options as you know are limited as Polish citizen.

The only reasonable option for me is Master’s (too little street credit to enroll into Aso PE after MBA) and try my luck at the lottery 3 times.

I was searching WSO found out that Vandy and MIT are tier I, then maybe Princeton, Villanova, georgetown usc(?). But for sure first two are goal.

Are there any other valuable choices?

My profile:

Undergrad: 4.5/5.0 grade bsc finance (best school in poland) Master: 5.0/5.0 msc finance (same school) GMAT: 615 focus (79th) GRE: Thinking about taking since sucked at gmat

Work experience: - 1.5 years as an Investment Analyst (6mo intern) at small VC fund in Poland - 0.5 years Junior IB analyst at top european bank - 1 year (TBC) PE/IB/Growht VC as an full time analyst

Also anyone have waived GMAT at Vandy not having 4.0 scale? ( i will have 5.0/5.0 so obviously easy to translate)

Thanks!

"I was searching WSO found out that Vandy and MIT are tier I, then maybe Pierceton, Villanova, georgetown usc(?). But for sure first two are goal." not sure where this conclusion is coming from

i would suggest you research into this more and all of them have very different emphasis for example Princeton (i assume you had a typo) is very quant heavy

other programs to look into on top of my head: uchicago booth also has a master in finance.

I don't understand why no MBA, 2-3 years of full time experience is plenty for it.

Even if my experience in poland has solid street credit, I think in us 3 years 50/50 intern/analyst with “no names” wont give me any chance to compete after MBA for aso

And yea i looked at most of wso master in US posts highlighting Vandy and MIT as top tier (heard that uchicago started just one year ago so cannot make an opinion on that)
