Using Bank’s Shortened Names
When speaking to bankers during a coffee chat or informational and, specifically VPs and MDs, is it appropriate to refer to a bank by its shortened name or nickname (ie “Perella” for PWP, “Piper” for Piper Sandler, or “Houlihan/HL” for Houlihan Lokey)? What do you guys think?
Start with full name- don't have to say "Partners" for PWP. Pay attention to how the banker that you're talking to refers to their own firm. Then, you can start saying it the way they do.
Great point! thanks!
The more important question is: Credit “Swiss” or “Swees”
