UT Austin vs Georgetown vs Boston College vs UNC Chapel Hill

I am trying to break into IB in nyc and was curious on what school everyone thinks would give me the best shot. Obviously Georgetown is a step above, but I have not heard back from all schools yet. Pls rank as I might not get into all schools.

UT is only good for Houston. BC is trash for everything. UNC is getting worse and worse and is only good for Charlotte. Georgetown by far. Anyone that says literally anything else is a bias alum.

-Dartmouth Grad.

UT only good for Houston is untrue but Georgetown is still the best choice.

UT sends a good amount to NYC and some kids go to LA/SF/Chicago.

That being said UT’s placement is only good if you’re in McCombs. Much harder for every other major.

UNC grad in NYC BB after lying about diversity,
Shit school for ib recruiting. Just way too big and competitive. Girls make it better tho.

definitely Georgetown if other factors (tuition/location etc) are not considered. UT doesn't place badly by the numbers but considering the student body is much larger than Georgetown (~1500 vs ~10000), it would be more competitive. Also echoing others' comments on how they place very well (among Rice and SMU) for oil and gas

My (free) opinion:

If affordability is a variable in the calculus:  UNC/UT > Georgetown > BC

If "the college experience" i.e. partying, sports, greek life, etc, is a variable in the calculus: UNC/UT > Georgetown > BC

If the only variable is "highest % chance to get the job I want":  Georgetown > UNC/UT > BC

I think the choice between UNC/UT just comes down to more personal preferences like geographic location, sports, student orgs, student body, etc.
