valid reason for being interested in BOTH IBD and S&T
if someone were to ask me in an interview why I have applied to both S&T and IBD, and how can i reconcile my interests in 2 seemingly disparate divisions, can I say the following in response : The type of role I'm interested in within IBD is not too different from the type of role im interested in S&T...i'm interested in lev fin in IBD and i'm also attracted to fundamental credit trading/research in S&T, they;re not that different since a good part of the role of an analyst in both divisions involve looking at how creditworthy companies are etc both are fundamental/financial statement analysis based bla bla....would this be a plausible answer from someone who is interviewing for summer analyst positions??
you can try the line: "Hi, my name is _____ and I'm an opportunist"
either that or sum up what you said above, yes?
lol but seriously, would you be able to keep a straight face if someone said that?
it's like liking men and women, the colors black and white, spicy and sweet, enjoying your reading of the bible and reading of playboy, loving both romantic comedies and horror movies... just because they're considered opposites why can't you like them both?
hahahaha, what about the AC/DC's....those who swing both ways?
Check your PM.
because you like money??
